Let me start off first and foremost by saying thank you to my incredible staff, {in no particular order} Michael & Kelly Mercadel, Mike & Tessa Pfeil, Jerry Lumar, Stephen Burden, Donnie Johnson, Robert St Pierre, Steve Nigri, Dawn Williford, Scott Davis, Seth Herring, Eric & Heather Bowman, Kellie & Chris Bach, Jd Crow, Jeff Chambers, Carl C.m. Russell, Randy Mayhew, Mikey Alsobrooks, Stuart Montgomery, The Garca Motorsports Cafe, and David Mares!

This absolutely could not have done without you guys. We hope we didn’t miss anyone, if we have, please accept our apologies.

Thanks to Richard Cole of RLC Performance Engineering for coming on board as our title sponsor. It was great to see you walking around engaging with our racers, even helping a few of them out.
Big shout out to our class sponsors, Rockstar Welding, Rudis Motorsports, Traxxas, JConcepts, Urban Assault Racing, Merc Motorsports, Air Excellence AC and Heating, Max Amps, Rust-Oleum, Mike Smith Tires, Assassin Media, DragRace Concepts, Home Depot, Yourbatterybuddy and HobbyTown USA… you all made this event even bigger, better and definitely sweeter for our class winners!

Despite over a 7-hour rain delay and because of our incredible staff and communication we were able to complete this event basically on time. Of course, we could not have done this without the cooperation of each and every participant. So hats off to you as well and for all of out of town racers!
We extremely proud and humbled at the sheer number of racers that had come from all over the country to this RCDRL record breaking event!

The Super Nationals is special and unique in and on so many levels. It brings all 3 of our divisions together to race and battle for Team Championships and personal accolades. We want to take another moment to congratulate “Team Louisiana” for winning the team competition! Hats off to Dennis Forbes, Stuart Montgomery, Mikey and Regina Alsobrooks, Hunter Baham, Adrian Schexnayder, David Granier and Marc Davidson. You guys truly did a great job.
To our backbone crew (Setup and Tear Down) I can’t begin to put into words how thankful and proud I am for your unselfish help.

BIG SHOUTOUT to the many RECORD BREAKING RUNS from Jim Schauer, Marc Davidson, Stuart Montgomery, Scott Davis, and Kenneth Lupi!
Rebekah and Gabrielle Mercadel thank you for a wonderful rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner our National Anthem to start the elimination rounds at this year’s Super Nationals. Even the schedule adjustment that we had to make due to the rain delay pushing up our Sunday worship service an hour didn’t stop racers from joining in. We want to thank Rebekah Mercadel and Rev. Chad Howard for delivering a powerful and heartfelt message. It was truly an incredible weekend.

Yes, it was a lot of work and planning and putting it all together, but it was all worth it! Once again, hats off to Dawn Williford for working behind the scenes for your first Super Nationals.
To Heather and Kellie, you two did an incredible job raising much-needed funds for “Families for Effective Autism Treatment North Texas”, “FEAT-NT”… so very proud of you and all those that donated for some very cool prizes.
To the Texas Motor Speedway themselves, we thank you for providing us with the place and space for us to flex our muscles on the Lone Star RC Drag Way. The fellowship and camaraderie amongst the many racers and teams were second to none!

To the Holiday Inn Express North Lake, and Motel 6, thank you for providing our out of town guest with impeccable service and overnight accommodations at an affordable price.
I’m excited about the future of the Radio Controlled Drag Racing League. Here are some random shots throughout the weekend. We will have more to say on Episode #30 of the RCDRL Podcast Show!
What can I say other than… Let’s do it again next year! We’ll start our planning committee in about 30 days!

Traxxas Vehicles with TSM

Attention in the PITS! We have been having some ongoing questions about cars having TSM and another driver assist electronics during points competition.

Effective June 1st, 2017 all TSM receivers MUST be removed from all RC racing vehicles that are competing in ANY RCDRL event. (with the Extreme Outlaw class in Louisiana being the ONLY exception.)

This was worked out with Traxxas for ACTIVE RCDRL members ONLY. You must give your membership number when ordering your replacement part.
